Read a little about how we started
Lobo tennis is based at Corinthian Park Tennis Club, which consisting of 13 grass courts for lawn tennis, and 8 new gel-cushioned surface hard courts with LED lighting.
Lobo Tennis is led by Laercio Lobo and Marina Dias.
Laercio Lobo or just ‘Lobo’ was born in Dracena (a small city in the countryside of Sao Paulo/Brazil). He started playing tennis when he was 7 years old and went on to play many tournaments at the state and national level. After finishing his junior years, he became a coach in Presidente Prudente/Brazil for over 3 years. His passion for competition led him to return to the courts as a player. He was then invited to play tennis in the USA, with a U.S. Athletic scholarship. In 2014, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education/Recreation at Southeastern Oklahoma (SO) State University/USA. After that, he completed a master’s degree in Sports Administration & Athletic Conditioning at the same institution.
After finishing college as an athlete, he became the Assistant Coach for the men’s and women’s tennis team at SO for 2 years. He is a Level A qualified coach with the Brazilian Tennis Federation, and Club Professional qualified with Tennis Australia
He arrived in Perth in 2016, and now as the Head Coach of Corinthian Park Tennis Club, Lobo and his team are ready to deliver the best quality tennis lessons.
Marina Dias was born in Belo Horizonte/MG. She started playing tennis and volleyball at a very young age. After finishing High school in Brazil, she was initially recruited to play Volleyball with a U.S Athletic Scholarship. Due to her passion for tennis, a year later she decided to return to the tennis courts as a tennis player and was awarded a tennis scholarship, while still playing volleyball. Marina is one of the few athletes who managed to play two sports at the same time in an American University. In 2014, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Physical Education/Recreation at Southeastern Oklahoma State University/USA.
Marina is the Director of the Lobo Tennis team. She arrived in Perth in 2016 with Lobo and is very keen to help young and adult tennis players to achieve their goals.
